Dr. Muhammad Anas
Dr. Muhammad Anas is a veterinarian and animal scientist who studies how a mother's diet shapes the genes and growth of her calf.
I trained as a vet at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, then moved into genomics at NIBGE and finished a PhD in Animal Science at North Dakota State University in 2025. Since May 2025 I work as a Post-doctoral Consultant for Livestock Development at Pakistan's Ministry of National Food Security and Research.

What I work on
Nutritional epigenetics
Maternal nutrition and one-carbon metabolites, and how they change DNA methylation and gene expression in the fetus.
Multi-omics & GWAS
Transcriptomics, miRNA and lncRNA networks, and genome-wide association studies in beef heifers.
Livestock policy
Data analysis and frameworks for national livestock programmes, plus China Aid and CPEC training proposals.
